Dentsu Runway Inc. (hereinafter the “Company”) aims to accelerate client growth by continuously evolving ahead of the times. The Company constantly seeks to take on new methods and technologies in all areas of advertising. It believes that as business areas involving the handling of personal information expand, both the proper use and the protection of that information can contribute to client growth through the power of advertising.

 In processing all user data obtained by the Company, the Company provides this privacy policy (hereinafter the “Privacy Policy), establishes a protection management system for personal information, and declares its determination to properly manage and protect personal information.  

The Company also declares that, when providing telecommunication services and ancillary services (hereinafter “telecommunication services”), the Company will comply with the Telecommunications Business Act and the Guidelines for the Protection of Personal Information in the Telecommunications Business.

    The Company will obtain personal information in the manner specified in the “Matters Disclosed Regarding Personal Information” to the extent necessary for maintaining business performance by taking into consideration the nature and scale of the business. The Company will use personal information within the scope of the usage purposes that the “Matters Disclosed Regarding Personal Information” identifies, and will notify the person concerned in advance and obtain their consent before changing the usage purposes. The Company will not provide personal information to any third parties without the consent of the person concerned unless otherwise provided in legislation. To prevent the use and provision of personal information for any unintended purposes, the personal information protection manager will confirm the appropriateness of the use and provisions. The Company will also enhance control through self-inspection, internal audits, and other activities.

    The Company entrusts outsourcing contractors with the part of the business that relates to personal information. The Company considers the management of contractors to be of paramount importance. When entrusting business, the Company will select contractors that it finds provide an adequate level of personal information protection, and will clarify security control, confidentiality, terms and conditions of re-consignment, and other duties deemed necessary for the handling of personal information through contracts and the like. The Company will also require an outsourcing contractor to handle personal information properly, and will continue to supervise and audit it as required to ensure its secure management.

    Regarding personal information (including personal information obtained and to be obtained by the Company), the Company will implement the development and improvement of a system for the protection of such personal information; provide educational and awareness activities for employees; control who enters and leaves the building; take information security measures; and impose other security control measures in the manner specified in the “Matters Disclosed Regarding Personal Information” to protect personal information by preventing and rectifying leakage, loss, and corruption of such information. When the Company no longer needs to retain personal information, it will securely destroy or erase it using proper methods.

    The Company will comply with all laws related to the handling of personal information, related legislation, national guidelines, the standards of the bodies to which the Company belongs, and the like.
  • 06Continuous Improvement of Personal Information Protection Management Systems

    To protect personal information properly and on a continuous basis, the Company will conduct regular internal audits, will strive to consistently review and improve its management system for personal information protection by taking into consideration changes in social conditions, the environment, etc. and may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time as necessary. When this Privacy Policy is changed, the Company will notify you at an appropriate time on this website, on websites managed by the Company, or by any other method the Company deems appropriate.

If this Privacy Policy is translated into any other language and there is any discrepancy between the Japanese version of this Privacy Policy and any translated version in any other language, the Japanese version shall prevail in all respects.
